Hey Jo Jo
It is so exciting someone wrote me back. I have seen you on the board and I prayed for your loss. I am sorry. Just remember your cousin is in heaven and you will see her again one day. Keep her memory alive with your love.
I am going like a light to medium brown. I did not realize how gray my hair was until now. I used to wear my hair about shoulder length, so I am at little scared to go toppless, I am a teacher. I have already warned my students, which they are all so great and wrote me cards last year. I have gone like to run my kids to karate without my wig or hat. I wear my hat the my daughters softball games. No one has ever said anything negative, I guess I know I don't look the same.
The plastic surgeon is planning to do it all at the same time. I know ladies in my support group said it was three different surguries. I will let you know.

Rhonda others will chime in too...sometimes it just takes a short, but they will.
Im sure whatever you do with your hair it will be beautiful. It took me forever to get that curiage up to go topless cuz my hair was really long...you really cant tell from my profile pic cuz my front sides were layered but the back of my hair was almost to the small of my back...so it was a major change for me! Thank you for your response about my cousin...its still really hard to deal with.0 -

Hi Rhonda,
I was supposed to have an appointment with my plastic surgeon next Friday to set up my exchange. However, they called today and reschedule it until October 22nd. So I have to wait longer. I'm ready to have my rocks taken out too. Good luck on Oct 13th and keep us posted. Hugs, Jean0 -
Wow all done at the same
Wow all done at the same time, my PS told me it was 3 months in between each surgery that you needed time to heal from each one! I had my exchange done 2 weeks ago and it was the easiest of them all. I haven't decided if I want the tats or nipples done yet... still thinking how important it will be to me. I love this site I haven't said alot but I do read all of your stories and don't feel like I am so alone so thank you all for sharing your lifes with us all. Hugs to you all0 -

Hi Rhonda-good luck on your surgeries!! I'm just now feeling back to normal after my last 100cc fill on these damn expanders....please share your experience with the procedures when you recover, I am nearing the end of my fills, 1, possibly 2 left, and I have 2 chemo treatmenst left too, so I'll be having my exchange too.
I'm undecided on new nipples though. Do you know what procedure your plastic surgeon uses for nipple reconstruction?
and Jean - that just STINKS that you have to wait almost another month!!!! I'm SURE it will be worth it, though!
*hugs*

Yes, I have two standard poodles and one maltese. All of them are lap dogs. We really love them, they are very smart and sweet. They like to play hide n seek with their bone.
I also thought the nipples and tattooing would be separate surgeries, but my plastic surgeon said the plan is to do it all at the same time. I trust him. He also said he may take some skin from my belly, like a mini tummy tuck (which I could use after the chemo). He is going to make the nipples by like puckering up the skin, I am not sure the medical term.
I only had one fill, but I retained a alot of water during chemo, so my left side is tighter and it is upside down. It kept flipping side ways, and I turned it the wrong way, but he said it should not effect the outcome.

Surgery
Rhonda,
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. Mine is scheduled for the end of Oct.I had 500cc implants but they were able to fill them to about 570cc and they say the implants will be slightly larger. Keep us posted. My expanders are like rocks too. I feel like they are like the cartoon characters that get hit with something and go "Boing". That is how mine feel. LOL
