The Patrick Dempsey Challenge

The Patrick Dempsey Challenge is Oct. 2nd & 3rd and I am participating in the 5K walk on Oct. 2nd. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey, will be there as well. The Dempsey Challenge is a run/walk and cycling fundraiser for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME.

This Center is wonderful and the first person I met at this center was Patrick's sister Mary. I have met Patrick's mom as well and she is a 3 time cancer survivor and he started this center in honor of his mom.

I will be bringing you all with me on this walk.

    How awesome that you are not only doing the 5K, but what an added bonus to have McDreamy there! I'm hooked on Grey's Anatomy. Patrick & McSteamy are well worth watching! I read an article about him & his Mom and all the things he has done to help her & others. He's a great man! Hope you can get close enough to get a photo with him!

    you go girl! I've heard Patrick Dempsey talk about his support. How cool that you've met his sister and mother. Tomorrow night he's back on tv and what a thriller last season finale was! Can't wait. I'll be cheering for you on Oct 2 & 3 :-)

    We often forget...
    That famous people are touched by cancer as well. I have always admired his acting, but this is a much bigger deal. His mom should be very proud. Good luck on your walk and give him a hug for all of us.

    Wonderful hair day
    I will have a wonderful hair day. My hair is way below my ear lobes almost touching my shoulders now. I will have to spruce it up for that day.

    In less than 10 days I raised over $500.00 for the Center so I think next year I should start earlier. I can't wait for the 5K walk.
