Hello Cindy Bear
I was surprised to read that Trixie is a short hair cat. Usually it is the long haired cats that get clumps of fur. I have one longed haired cat, "Cheeks". I have to annually cut her hair clumps out. Take a small pair of scissors, part her hair, cut them out. I was also thinking since "Trixie" is obese, have you tried to give her a diet dry food? Limit her intake of food to just twice a day? Hope this helps! Let us know.

Hi Tina. Yes she needs to go on a diet.. it's hard because she cries so if she doesn't get the canned food treats.. plus we have 2 dogs and she is right there along side of them begging at dinner time.. But I am def. going to get her some diet food.. as far as the hair.. it's just in such hard clumps.. and so close to her skin.. I think I'll have to take her to the vet or groomer.. she'll probably need to be sedated as I don't want to hurt her or incur her wrath... I may order some Pet Head detangler.. saw it on Amazon, it got 5 star rating.. we'll see if that helps.. Thanks.0
