Its grown from Mexico to northern South America and some parts of Africa and Asia,known as graviola. I'm starting to look it up as a woman I KNOw from Colombia just brought it to my attention. Its been studied since the 70s as a "cure" for cancer, beginning with the NCI in 1976. I don't even know where I could buy some if I wanted to try it.Curious if any one has tried this fruit.....steve

    An American Evergreen...according to google...
    that produces a spiny fruit and that you disembowel to actually eat the pulp inside.....

    Naw, I have never seen or tried it, but I might if it was accessible enough........Buzz

    I "googled" it and got a site called (of all names) buzzle.com
    (any relation?) and the picture shown sure looks like a spiny fruit with a white pulp and black seeds on the inside......If I can find one in the international groceries where I live maybe I'll try one but I probably won't like it.(Don't like taste of mango yet that's supposed to be of benefit too; broccoli ,tho,I've gotten to love!!!!! Hope all is well steve

    I've had it in Jamaica. Very sour fruit, usually used in drinks with sugar and rum. You can find it in Spanish and Caribbean groceries. Also many supermarkets carry it in the ethnic foods section. Goya brand has the juice in cans.
