Meghan....our little adopted sister

I had quite a long conversation with Meghan today and she is doing really well, all things considered. I told her she needed to log in here and give all her big sisters a heads-up. She said she would.

Her dad has found a counselor for her, but she hasn't met her yet. Hopefully, it's someone Meghan can bond with and who will give her the tools she needs to move past her mom's death. We never get over things like that, but just working past that awful emotional logjam can be so hard. I will be eternally grateful that I found this board, and all of you. A gathering of chemo angels, that's what this place is to me.

    If you find your way here and read this, I just wanted to let you know, there's a space in my heart with your name on it, and I think I speak for all of us here. I think this place, these women, are part of your mom's legacy to you.

    I think it's a great thing that we can all be here for Meghan; I just can't imagine what life is like for her to be sooo young and facing an almost insurmountable mountain of emotions to overcome.

    I hope with counseling and the help/advice of all of us ladies, Meghan may just get through this pain in one piece.

    just wanted to chime in my support. If God is an artist, and we are his masterpieces, then God is doing something very amazing in your life. He will take all those rough spots, mis-matched colors, and weird shapes and turn it into something cool. Meanhwile, it is a rough, painful and not always smooth. I promise you though, there is a plan. You will be ok!

    Yeah... if you are reading this Sweetheart, I'm so pleased that you might have a counselor to talk to. I'm hoping it will be a kind person who you feel will be on your side. We all knew your Mom as being a kind, warm, funny, generous and loving person. She helped me and countless of others on this board through devastating times. Above all else she loved you. Please let us know how you are doing.
