Hi Everyone - I was wondering if anyone here had any stories to relate to me about traveling domestically to receive treatment? What are some things to consider in deciding where to go etc?

Thanks so much.

    staying local
Mom was able to find a specialist with a good reputation in her city, and was happy with her care, so she decided against looking elsewhere even at recurrance, when the oncologist suggested it was time to get outside opinions. Cancer treatment is hard on the patient and the family, and adding travel was more than she wanted to do. As point person on the caregiver home team, I think it was the most compassionate choice all round.
