Great News... and I think I have your answer
Cliff... I'm so happy to hear your good news. Lord only knows how much we needed it. I think I know whats going on with you and your wife #1 It's stress. You two have had a ton of if this last 2 months. #2 I was also verbally abusive to my wife and was told it was because I was trying to make her hate me so when I died it would me so hard on her. I know it sounds crazy but after thinking about it for awhile it made sense. Once I found out how crazy that way of thinking was things got better. Maybe this is what you're doing?
AGAIN.. GREAT NEWS!!

Congrats! Be nice to the lady! It is hard having cancer, I'm sure, but it is hurtful to see someone you love go through the "experience" of it and knowing that you can't do chit about it.
God Bless (or Allah or Budha, or Yaweh, etc.)
Enjoy your new found freedom!0 -

I am mulling those same questions over in my head as well, which is why I asked the second time. The tumor did have crc cells which she said would make crc the primary(1st tumor was in lower rectum area, this met was in lower part of the upper left lung lobe. That tells me that it does make me a stage 4. But with no node involvement at all and all clear margins both surgeries on both tumors. I am not real sure what I am looking at but to me its just a stage, it only means that my chance of re occurence is higher but ya know, it wasn't suppose to happen this time and it did so it could just as well never happen again as it happened this time. I will celebrate every day of being "ahead" of the game for a little while..
I have an appointment in 3 weeks where we will discuss probabilities...In any matter, I have won this round and I will be enjoying it as long as possible.......Buzz
Well, no matter how you look at it... it looks good to me
Since the tumour was in the lung and had CRC cells, then one could consider it to be a spread, obviously... but if it's just the one tumour and they got it out in surgery, who cares?? It's gone!
Does this mean there other miniscule cells ready to grow into nodules/tumours? Perhaps... but as long as one keeps up with the regular checks/blood work/scans.... if they do pop up one can just go ahead and treat them At least, that is my perspective... as long as we stay on top of these little monster-wannabes, we can live with cancer and not die from it.
Again... congratulations on your great news this week.... and perhaps you should buy a big tub o'vanilla ice cream because every day should be a day of celebration

Clift,
That is great news!!!! I can only imagine how hard this is from the patients stand point. I think you're a wise man to look into some help with the mind stuff. This is such a trip on our minds and selves. More power to you to do what is best for you and your family.
Aloha,

Today was our first day of therapy...."Whew" is all there is to say...We just went through a marriage class last year and I see DaJaVu...But maybe it will make it easier to absorb and contain this time...It will help...our therapist is a great woman that we have spoke with before but not in a personal way...
Be back later, Buzz..............Nap Time...my favorite time of day......0 -
Good to hear
Hard to believe but it's crazy what some people think is great news. "Sir, you have cancer in your lung"... But it is great news because we all know it could have been worse. It's amazing how cancer FORCES you to make delicious lemonade from sour a$$ lemons....
Alcoholics take it "one day at a time", cancer patients take it one tumor at a time....
Take care, Chris0 -
I can always count on ya buddy.....PhillieG said:Great News

That's great news Buzz! And
That's great news Buzz! And how great it is for you to realize that you have an issue and love your wife enough to want to change. That's the best news of all. So will you have to have more chemo or radiation? You are blessed. Take care and keep the good news pouring in.
