Kelly - your picture is
Kelly - your picture is beautiful. You can see your beautiful smile in your eyes, also! Losing my hair has been the hardest for me, even harder than losing my boobs. I applaud your strength. I don't have any pics of me without hair. I think my husband has taken a few with my wig on, and with my scarves, but none without hair. Of course, if I looked half as good as you with no hair, I dont think i'd have a problem with it! But my eyes are all puffy, my face looks bloated half the time.

And, you're exactly right--it's our lives we're fighting for here. We'll get all that good stuff back--hair, brows, lashes, nice svelte bodies (well, hopefully!) that make us feel like women again. But right now, we're warriors, plain and simple.
Thanks for the great pic. I loved it.

You all make me feel so good. Your right about the weather. It's pretty hot here and I will say that has been the positve about not having hair. Alot cooler plus less time to get ready for work in the morning - I just put my hat on and go.
You all are wonderful to me - thank you I needed that.

You're Beautiful!
The very first thought that popped into my head when I looked at your picture was "wow, she's gorgeous...and that's WITHOUT hair!" LOL. Wish I could say I looked that good way back in the day!
Bravo for having the courage to go "a la natural"! LOL. You should hold your head high and be proud!
Oh...and I also thought "wow..she must workout regularly. Look at her arms! Wish I had her body"! LOL. Then I got jealous and didn't like you anymore! LOL! ONLY KIDDING!:) Wish I had the discipline to workout more routinely:( You look Marvelous!!!!!!!!!
Blessings,

I was trying to PM you but I forgot how to do it - guess thats chemo brain they talk about.
what I wanted to tell you - I say here.. About our hair..... In the beginning I cried about losing my hair before I lost it. It was hard for me to think of not having my beautiful blonde hair. Truely, I was having a very difficult time. What happend was this... I went to my Daughters Dr. appt (she is pregnant) and we found out that the baby has 2 cyst in his brain. Well, we were upset to say the least, but the Lord transformed my priorities and suddenly hair didn't seem that important anymore. I wanted my grandson to be ok - and I begged God to take care of him and make everything normal. I told God that I can handle anything that happens to me but not my grandbaby. And it was all from my heart. I meant it all. when I finally cut my hair - I didn't cry nor was i upset. My eyes were on the baby. When we went to the Dr. a month later, the cyst were gone and my grandson was fine. I praised God for answering my prayers - yes, I may look awful and I may feel ugly without my hair but God has shown me that somethings are more important. Our hair will grow back - and my weight will drop (hardest on me)
I hope this makes you feel better about your hair, you are young and beautiful and I hear it comes back more beautiful and curly. we have alot to look forward to. Plus if we don't like the colore we can go to our hairdresser and change it huh?
I bet you look just as beautiful with out your hair. we are our own worse enemies and too hard on ourselves.

Well Kelly...Jean 0609 said:Hi Kelly,
Like all the others have said, you are beautiful! You have a beautiful face. The weight gain has been hard for me too. Hoping now that my chemo is done, I can get back on track. Hugs, Jean
All I can say is who needs hair on their head when they have such a beautiful face as you do!
And, I wouldn't say that if it weren't true! You are a very, beautiful young woman!
I was lucky that I didn't have to take chemo, so, I didn't lose my hair. I have always admired all of you that did, as, that is a big loss with everything else that you have had to endure.
Your hair will grow back and you will be even more beautiful, which is hard to imagine!
Wishing you the best of luck with chemo and keep that gorgeous smile on your face!
