Weird Pain in the back

Hey everyone, i have not been on here to long but wonder if anyone has experienced back pains that feel like sunburns. It's not over bearing, just really annoying. I am trying to figure out if it's from Rad. or Chemo. Then again it may be from the fact that i have lost 53 pounds and now that i am putting weight back on, my muscles are stretching out. All the other side effects have gotten a lot better, but i am about to start back doing chemo. I have 3 more over 3 months that i have to get. I can't wait for this to be over. I want to get back to as normal a life as i can. Thanks for listening. Rather reading.

    I lost about 70lbs during treatment, I'm only a 3 days out of treatment now, and I have back pain too. It's more from poor posture for me, I slouch because of the lack of muscle I have now. I find my self correcting my posture, which causes the back pain. I'm not sure if chemo or radiation would cause back pain. Mine is in the middle of my back just below the shoulder blades.

    I had pain like John described, in between shoulder blades and a little lower. I'm 5 months out and doing well besides not much weight gain. Went to physical therapy for the back pain. They said it was due to mucscle loss and again like John said, bad posture. They gave me some simple exercises. I've been doing the exercises for a month now and hardly have any more of that pain. At least the PT worked great for me.

    Yea, that is exactly where my pain is. Right below the shoulder blades. I had my wife rubbing my back last night and she would move from there and i would be like " please go back to there ". I am so glad to have found this site. Everyone here seems to speak the same language. It's good to not be alone anymore.

    P.S. The stuffy nose is getting better, but does anyone know about how long it last? I've gotten past the gaging on the thick mucus. Thank God, that was a rough one.

    This is a great place

    This is a great place and we all have been on the same boat at some point in time. I have found this place to be a safe haven to speak about whats on your mind with out having someone looking at you like "huh?". Please feel free to post more questions or concerns, everyone here is very helpful. I found a lot of support here during my last month of treatment, I wish I found this place sooner. Great people.

    I too wish i would have found this sooner. It has answered a lot of questions just by reading other peoples post. I had felt like such an alien to the real world, until now. My wife tries to understand and she to has been reading some post. She has gotten a better understanding of what we have all been going through. I look forward to many more good days of being on here. This is a scary thing to go through alone, but i don't feel that way anymore. I can't wait until the chemo is done. Then i will feel like i am truly on the road to recovery, although i will say i am greatful to be done with the radiation and have that damn tube out.

    I'm glad I read this posting. I have that same type of back pain and I'm about 10 weeks out of treatment and I lost 100 pounds. It makes sense when you combine weight loss, muscle loss and posture.

    I am glad this could be of help to you Rush. There are so many questions i have for the people on here. I just don't want to bombard them.
    Though knowing what we all have been through they could handle just about anything.
