I haven't posted in quite awhile ... but I still jump on and read the posts to try and keep up with how everyone is doing.
But ... now it's my turn to ask for feed-back. For the newbies ... I had a lumpectomy, followed by taxol/herceptin ... then radiation ... and now I've been on tamoxifen for several months. I was convinced I wasn't having any side-effects from the tamoxifen ... but now I wonder. Last week I had one or two itchy little bumps in between my boobs. It was driving me crazy. I kept putting stuff on it ... but all it did was "spread" ... kind of like poison ivy ... and itch and burn like crazy. I can't possibly imagine how it could be poison ivy THERE! Now this morning after I got out of the shower I notice a new itchy bump in my crease where my underpants leg is.
I got online and see that in some cases a rash IS a side effect of tamoxifen.
Anyone had this ... and what did you do?
hugs.

Ask Dr.
I did not have that particular side effect, but I have heard of others who did. It definitely sounds like an alergic reaction. As always, when unsure, ask the Dr. It may be that some other drug could be used instead, or there may be something to help the rash.
Take care, seof0
