I have come to the conclusion upon my 10 eh 5 eh 1 year study of why the jaw spasms when we take our first bite of food while on chemo...
Based on a myriad of 30 white mice ( they were not hurt in these experiments...much) were given small doses of a platin based chemo and then after a certain number of days were given food particles that were not of their normal diet. The nerve sensory system in the mouth being super sensitized by the platin based drug caused an involuntary reaction to the non native tastes that were introduced to the supersensitive sensory system causing the immediate reaction to the closest point of nerve clustering, basically the jaw muscle.
So, in conclusion when your oncologists look at you funny again when you tell him of jaw spasms, tell him about my study, then he/she should understand what is happening after you tell them........right before they shoot you full of Thorazine and put the white jacket on ya.........or....keep this information to yourself..........
Happy Labor Day weekend........Buzz

It's just me and my German Shepard up. I can't seem to fall asleep, so I am having a glass, well now it's two glasses of wine, then I am going to try to sleep again. Maybe it's that I am sitting my youngest grand daughter and my 10 year old grand daughter.
And no, that pic is of me me, when I was 19. See the other post.
Have a great day today, and sing it from the heart!0
