Must be a good feeling to have that reminder out. Also, I worry about my husband's getting infected, so that's another worry gone too!
Thanks for sharing the good news.0 -
Exellent news
Kent, that is great news and just believe you have no further need for any ports. It's been a long time coming to get that out so now you are all natural again.

Congrats on your continued suvivorship. Wonderful new!
I would not be at all concerned with giving up the port. By believing that the cancer will not come back.. then the cancer will not be back and you will not need the port. Use the money savings to continue to have fun.

To all who've given me congrats in this thread, and have been with me since I joined the family in 11/09. Like no-doubt so many out there, I was unaware of this forum during the dog days of my treatment- but I sure do wish I had been. The help given here is a really great thing; and, Lord knows, the good it does me to be able to maybe help someone else going thru this C thing of H&N, if even just once in a blue moon. So, yeah, all the hardware is gone, now, but Mick is so right about "the gift that keeps giving," and I reckon I'll hang around for awhile longer, as I hope every Vet of this war does.

Hi Brother Kent
Great news another war trinket left behind in the battle of life. The past we may look back on but the future is yet to come and I am looking forward to that future with all my friends for as long as my Lord wills me to be here with them.
God bless you, Hebrew 11:1 Believe
