News on IrishWhispers aka Trisha Bonn

Hi everyone, I know I haven't been on here in a while, and thought this would be the more appropriate site to post so that I could reach everyone that knows our Trish the Dish, comic, mother, grandma and friend. Today I was chatting with her daughter Melissa on FB and unfortunately, the news is not good. She was released from the hospital and is at home under palliative care. Because she is so weak and drugged to control pain, she cannot sit up or talk, but Melissa said that she does respond with a smile when spoken to. Melissa has read and told her of our postings on her FB page. They are holding a benefit dinner for her on Sept 18th at the Benefit II in Syracuse to help defray the hospital bills and also purchase art supplies for a young girl newly diagnosed.     I of course also know of this from FB~ IrishWhispers is such a force of nature...I hate that this is happening to her. I will put a check in the mail tomorrow. Trisha is one of the finest, spunkiest, most loving women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting ~ albeit it only in cyber-space. Sigh, and damn cancer and its long fingers anyway!

    Thanks for the update....
    Wendy IM'd me last night on FB about Trish and I started thinking....I really didn't have the opportunity to know her, but I did know alot of you spoke of her when I first joined the group. I remember her posting a few times and remember thinking she was just what Chen said...'spunky'. Reminded me of some one so full of life! She will be missed by many, I'm sure. I will keep her family in my prayers.

    Thank you Lil for the update on IrishWhisper. Many a posting she placed on this board still remain some of my favorites. My prayers are with she and her family. I hate this thing we are going through, especially when it reaches this stage, and you feel so helpless to do anything to make it easier. Hugs to all, Judy

    Thank you, Lili, for your message updating us on Trish. She has been in my prayers; like many, I was hoping she would have more years with her friends and family. I pray now that her remaining hours and days--too few!--are as gentle and soft as her name, Irish Whispers.

    for posting.Pretty upsetting and discouraging. I hate the beast as well-we try to have some control over it,but it is just a nasty,menacing thing that takes away our loved ones sometimes and puts the fear into us who have faced it.
    I am so sorry to hear about Irish-it saddens me and angers me at the same time.
    I pray that she isn't suffering.

    Lili, thank you for taking the time to update here as Trish did so enjoyed this site and drew much strength from the love she received here. Please thank her daughter for sharing our messages of love on fb with Trish, this is just heart wrenching.

    I did read on FB that she
    I did read on FB that she had passed. but I leave it to her friends to elaborate as I did not know her well. my prayers are with her family and friends I hate cancer.
