I realized, after a couple emails, I did not share with you what the Dr said was happening with my leg.
I am bleeding inside and that is causing the swelling and pain. Did ice it to help stop the bleeding, but it is still painful and swollen.
I was thinking, by today, it would be good so didn't look real hard for drivers today. That wasn't a very good idea. Hoping I can manage the drive to princeton. The nurses there said they'd just have me stay the day and wait for the platelets. First labs and we are pretty sure it will be platelets again. The platelets come from the cities so takes the courier about 4 hours to go down and back.
Okay Josh just called and he is taking me down, so if anyone out there could do the afternoon run please let me know as he just worked all night and really needs his sleep.
It isn't working out for home health to draw my labs, the home health nurse called and said when she went to order the supplies everything was covered but the port access. In hospital setting Medicare covers it but outpatient the prescription coverage would have to and they don't. Boy I sure thought the TLC program was going to be more helpful, oh well.
Think that is about it for now, tomorrow is the appointment with hemotologist at 4pm.
Thanks again for all the prayers, rides, food, visits, etc, the list is long and as much as my good intentions were to send thank you cards I just haven't been doing it.
Sending lots of prayers and hugs your way
