worries over new biopsies
Prayers needed for my husband. Jim has just finished treatment for hypopharyngeal and base of tongue cancer. When the gastroenterologist placed the feeding tube prior to treatment, he was very unnerved by the way Jim's esophagus looked. He will be doing biopsies Tuesday. I've known this physician for many years: I am more than a little concerned. Your prayers and good thoughts would be so appreciated.

Prayers are coming to you now
My brother Michael had head & neck cancer diagnosed in May 2006. I joined this site around that time, but didn't participate much until recently. Mikey is living with us now so I'm finding CSN to be a big help. As caregivers, we all know that whatever happens to our loved one, happens to us too but in a slightly different way (of course). We go through all the ups and downs and stress that the patient does & when our loved one suffers ... we suffer too! Praying for you & wishing for blessings for you & your hubby. Seems like you have a very good relationship with that doctor, so there's a blessing right there.

Hello Noellesmom
Sorry for your recent update on your husband. I will be praying that all goes well for both of you in the upcoming days. My dad passed in March from ec. He had a stretch and a stent put in in December. I remember the surgeon saying she saw a whole lot of scar tissue in his esophagus. The scar tissue came from the chemo and radiation treatments. Maybe this is what has happened to your husband too. Do not worry too much until you have a definite dx. Keep in touch.

So hard. Try to keep as busy as you can while waiting and occupy your mind somehow. It's not easy, for sure.
