I have ovarian cancer stage 3. I had surgery & they couldn'd remove anything because it too extensive & I wanted a quality of life. Then I started with the 6 chemo treatments , I did very well my last CA 125 was 29, the cat scan showing my tumor was reduced. that was the last of July. I know my tests results because my daughter is a nurse at the hospital where I did the tests. My question is i have not heard anything from my DR. Am I to consult him or will he call me when he wants to see me. Is there any period of time I am supposed to have Ca125 test done or do I call him when if I have symptoms again. I feel wonderful but I am just hanging out there not knowing what I should do next.

Somewhere in there I think you were supposed to make your next appointment with your doc and it didn't happen. Maybe they assumed you had your next appt. already when you left the office last. Or maybe the front office girl forgot as she had her mind on something else. At any rate, I would call your oncologist's office and tell them that you need a follow up appointment. Those offices are busy so I don't think they will be calling you. I think you just fell though a crack as I'm sure the standard of care is to follow you on a regular basis. Good luck!
