In September 2009, at the age of 46, I was diagnosed with Stage four esophageal cancer with Mets to my lymph nodes, lungs and spine. I had 3 rounds of chemo before stopping and sought alternative treatments. Even though I can swallow fine, I am about to get a Peg tube, so I can juice better and also will start on folfox chemo. I had some radiation to my spine due to pain. I have made 14 videos that I placed on YouTube about my alternative treatments. My webpage is RonsVictory.com, and you can fing the links there. I would like to hear from others with advanced Esophageal cancer. Thanks, Ron RonsVictory@gmail.com.

    Hi Ron
    Ron,
My husband Charlie was dx in March 2009 with stage iv EC. Had infused chemo last summer, then went took oral chemo along with Herceptin. He is back on infused chemo. He is stable. Biggest complaint at this point is being so tired and some trouble swallowing. Just click on our picture to the left for more details.
Will keep you in my prayers,
    Jane

    Stage 4
    Hi Ron,

Nice to read your comments. I will check the videos out.

I too was recently diagnosed with EC Stage IVb at age 56 with mets to liver and lymph nodes. I'm part of a clinical trial at Mass General with chemo the only option.

Stay positive throughout your journey. I wish you the best of luck.
