I became the primary caregiver for my mother when I was 22, at that time she was diagnosed with cancer of the gallbladder. Facing the reality of her incurable cancer we used the time we had to create memories that helped us make it through such a difficult time, and continue to sustain me today. This is a blog I recently created to celebrate these moments of laughter, tears, and smiles. My hope is that these memories will help someone else cope with pain, and if nothing else leave you with a smile. http://calidaspenniesfromheaven.blogspot.com/

penny
When I was a kid (many moons ago) my daddy would say "a penny for your thoughts" I am sure he did not make this saying up , but he would say it. So when I go to visit his and my mothers graves and other family members I leave pennies on their graves, A penny for their thoughts. So I to see a penny and I pick it up and think about all the things we shared.
Thank you for your blog very beautiful your mom would be so proud.
