Mets to the lymph nodes

I have rectal cancer with mets to a couple of distant lymph nodes. If I were to get a met on my liver, could they use targeted radiation to get rid of it ? I don't know if the infected lymph nodes rule it out.

Your info is a little sketchy. Have you had surgery and were the nodes removed? What stage are you, and why do you think there might be mets to the liver?
I'm stage 4 with distant lymph nodes, met to the liver was hypothetical. I've never had surgery. Just wondering if the lymph node involvement would halt any of the new technology like targeted radiation just in case a met showed on my liver.0
