A mile?
Exercise is great, but the body needs energy to fix and heal itself.
When we expend that energy by doing -too much- exercise, we
use up that energy quickly.
Cancer, chemo and radiation can take it's toll. Our body has to try
to fight the ravages of both what we have, and what they're trying
to cure it with. Taking a short walk, and relaxing on a bench to
watch other people knock themselves out, sounds like a better
choice to me.
Good health to ya'll.

Walk!
Great that she feels like walking. I usually get my exercise pushing a cart around Target!!
( The cart helps with the balance for me) It has been miserably hot here, so outside activity is limited. The Chemo Trot Dance also keeps me close to facilities!!! Not fun!!
Did someone walk with her?? I am a bit leary of venturing too far on my own due to some past experiences on walks??
Keep up the good work!! -
Yes she was eccercisingKathiM said:GREAT news!
Is she normally a big exerciser? If so, this is perfect. I agree with John's post that she needs to be a bit careful, tho, not to overdo...her body is working hard, even 'off-chemo' times...
Make sure she stays hydrated!
Hugs, Kathi
Yes she was eccercising beforehand. She has indicated that she is only going to do what her body can handle. Consequently, the duaghters will be handling the holidays this year and oh the neighborhood ladies walk with her.
