Looks like we've been HIT again! I reported it. I only wish I could afford TIFFANY's with all my doctor bills!

    Hi Sue--

    Yeah, like all of us cancer survivors have extra cash lying around after paying all those doctor and hospital bills to go buy some diamonds! Geesh! It disturbs me a bit that someone can register on here without giving any information about why they are here--like "I HAVE CANCER!" That should be a red flag that they might be a spammer. I went down the list of topics and flagged all of them that hadn't already been flagged.

    I know Martha! It's actually pretty rude of the company. In my opinion shows no taste...maybe we should contact someone there!

    Hi Sue--
    I'm doing great! Saw my rad onc on Tuesday and got poked and prodded, but everything was good! Today, I saw my med onc and we briefly discussed my PET scan--not much to talk about, as it was all good. I don't have to have another scan for 6 months, then I'll see him again. The best part was he gave me his blessing to have a margarita every week if I want one! Yippee! I see my colorectal doc on Sept. 2nd. and am not expecting any surprises that day (fingers crossed). So, how you doin'?

    We are just starting to see doctor bills and hospital bills come in...holy crap. Rich and I go through the mail and say "charge card, soliciting for clothing, kohls ad, doctor bill, doctor bill, doctor bill" Odd our piles look funny as the dr bill ones are getting quite high. Oh well. Hope you guys are doing well. I had some rough moments but am coming back slowly. Have three last rads next week (they were postponed due to a flood in hosp basement) and I cannot wait until they are done so my bod can start to heal -- be well, Marilyne

    P.S. How do I find private messages on this site? I received one and I am having trouble finding it again to respond.

    I know what you mean about the bills. They just keep coming! I always put my co-pays on my Visa card and that statement makes me want to cry, not so much because of the amount, but because all the charges on there are for doctor's visits instead of stores at the mall! :( How sad is that!

    As for private messages here, just go back to "CSN Home" and under "Connect" in the middle column, just click on "in box."

    Do you suppose she could share the income instead of the info? I'm sitting here looking at an eviction notice and disconnect bills from all my utilities. I've applied for SSI and any kind of aid I've paid into all my working life...but it's slow going. I just finished week 2 of radiation without any hospital interruptions, and it's like starting all over again. But...we do what we gotta do. Hi to those I've talked with before and welcome to any newbies.

    Melodie - sounds like you are going through a heck of a lot not counting the cancer treatment...I wondered what happened to you for awhile there. I realized you were in the hospital but did not realize it postponed everything a few weeks like that. I just got out of the hospital myself...was supposed to finish last week but became dehydrated severely enough for them to bring me in for fluids and then had an ulcer develop on my vajayjay they had to give antibiodics for. Fun and games. Even so I was going to have the last three rads last week and lo and behold there is a storm, floods the lower area of the hospital and rads and mri's and such are postponed. So needless to say my last three will be next week barring any other interruptions...and yup, more bills and yet more bills. Hang in there - let us know how you are doing. Be well, Marilyne

    I don't understand. I reread this a few times and did not understand the Tiffany's comment...did you get an ad to buy tiffany's jewelry through here? I don't know what I was thinking when I read it at first...chemo brain maybe - can't blame lack of sleep as that is all I do lately. Sorry I misunderstood.

    The Tiffanys comments have been deleted. Actually, they were put on here by a spammer and were nothing but website addresses trying to sell us stuff. That really makes me mad that someone would use a cancer forum website to advertise things--of all things, jewelry. Like we cancer patients and survivors all have stacks of cash sitting around, just waiting to spend it on bling!
