    Im in Williamsburg Brooklyn. My son's father was diagnosed with Stage IV NSCLC in Sept and is undergoing chemo with cisplatin alimta and avastin. No mets to brain but he has mets to bones all over and substantial mets to liver and his peritoneal lining. The first scan since chemo started has shown significant improvement in several places, but some worsening in the liver. I do my best to keep him sugar-free and healthy with supplements like curcumin, maitake, quercetin, IP6 fish oils probiotics and enzymes (LOL) but when he rejects these im sure to at least get him on Ginger twice a day for three days before chemo as this more than halves his nausea. its a huge difference in how he feels afterwards. HUGE!

    see the university of rochester study on ginger for chemo patients!

    Dan I lived in Avondale for about 7 years and will be going there for the Holidays. My three kids and their families live there and I am looking forward t the visit and a little of the dry heat to get away from the cold here in DC!
