Back to work tomorrow

The wheels on the bus go round and round...I drive a school bus van for handicapped kids. This week is our practice run before school starts on the 17th. It was nice being off for the summer getting unemployment for awhile. I didn't get any projects done I had planned to do, but my intentions were good. I wrote a list anyway! My bus is not air conditioned and the temps are up to 100 this week, I might just lose a few pounds.

I never knew that the buses were not air conditioned..And for handicapped kids. So glad you are feeling good. Good luck to you, try and stay cool. I also live were it is hot. I know how it is. I can't imagine driving without air though woo-wee. Take care Kay

Most of the vans are AC, but some of the older ones aren't. The big busses are not. Hopefully it won't be that hot when school starts. I'll just have to deal with it for a little while. Can't wait for Fall, this heat is horrible.

Good Luck tomorrow .. can you keep a small
ice chest .. with blue ice pak's or frozen waters with you .. Keep you cool, and hydrate -- Anything at this stage of the game ...

Glad the van has AC.I was thinking that you might use one of those little clip -on fans on the dashboard if necessary during this hot spell. Keep hydrated and get plenty of sleep. The kiddies will be back on the bus before you know it.

Love it
I like my route this year, its a good 6 hour day, 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. Thankfully I don't live for from work, I can come home for a break and eat. Just getting up at 5 is brutal!

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow when the kids get off the bus..
and step into my 5th grade classroom for the first day of school here in Indian River County, florida. I have 27 4th/5th graders right now, but that will probably change after the 10 day count.

I missed this when you first posted....you were one of the
"chemo chicks" that I looked up to when I was going thru chemo. You were a little ahead of me. I'm so happy you are returning to work and getting your life back. I won't say back to normal but back to the new normal....doesn't it feel great?

I'm so happy for you....have a great fall (I'm also looking forward to an end of this hot weather). Take care.
