Hoping the Xeloda works for you as well as it has for me. Keep the ole chin up there buddy. I know it's hard to do. But we're all here thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way.0 -
Sorry
So sorry you are going through this. Maybe this new treatment they have you on will help. Hoping that you get some pain medication for what you are experiencing. You should not have to deal with this without help. Love your inspiration and attitude towards all that you have gone through so hoping that you get some good results coming to you.

good
Hey, Eric.
I know it makes you nervous to wait 3 weeks to start the new treatment, but I'm praying that this will be the one to make the difference for you. You are such a lovely person, it makes me sad to think of you being in pain and feeling depressed. I'm glad you're feeling more like you now.
*hugs*

When I first started chemo,
When I first started chemo, my liver began to hurt. It freaked me out, but my doctor said that pain could be a good sign because when the drugs are working they can cause the tumors to swell a bit. The chemo shrank the tumors significantly. Hopefully that's what is happening with you. Stay strong.

Thanks for all the wonderful support. You are a precious group of people and continue to amaze me. I am feeling better but the pain seems to worsen daily. I started to have a little bit more pain after the treatment I just finished started but I didn't start having any real pain until this weekend and today my liver is pushing on my ribcage and it really hurts even to the point where talking or laughing hurts. Of course, I'll suffer some pain for a good laugh. I keep telling myself it will stabilize and stop hurting so bad but so far it seems to be getting worse. I don't know how this happened so quickly and how it could actually be getting worse on a daily basis. The weird thing is besides the pain and some shortness of breath (which I am sure is related to the liver stuff,) I felt the the best I've felt in a while today. I mean as far as energy and mental clarity goes. So, there is always a bright side too. I feel like I am just getting on here to complain lately.
Love you guys,

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better mentally and physically! I know you were really struggling with the treatment you were on. This isn't a 3-month break this time - only 3 weeks - don't let yourself stress over that. Lots of people have an extra 1-4 weeks inserted during treatment with no ill effects.
I hope you can keep the liver pain under control so you can really enjoy this short break before you try something new. Going into it feeling more like yourself and re-charged will be so much nicer than how you were feeling on the other treatment.0 -
