Recommendations for Good books for the recently diagnosed?
I thought if I got him some books to help him understand what is happening and put him in a mindset of surviving, He could read them as he stays in the hospital.
Are there any good books out there?
Your advice is appreciated.

The trouble with books
The trouble with books - it's difficult for a truly depressed person to concentrate on a book, maybe a book-on-cd or book-on-tape or on a Playaway would be better. Though maybe not so for a nonfiction work that may need referring back to...
The Cleveland Clinic Guide to Lung Cancer by Peter Mazzone comes to mind, it's brand new and surely up to date
Johns Hopkins Patients' Guide to Lung Cancer by Justin Klamerus, also brand new
ABC of Lung Cancer (2008) edited by Ian Hunt.
