New treatment

I have been feeling pretty lousy with this new treatment and trying to push through. This stuff has been making me into a wreck. Yesterday and today I felt like I had had enough. They checked me and and lab wise everything seemed to be ok except every treatment my ldh gets higher. Ldh is a tissue damage indicator. It's also making my liver flare up which is a concern. Just because I was feeling so lousy they decided not to give me treatment and my oncologist checked me out and sent me home. He was leaning toward stopping the treatment which would've been a major setback but after deliberating with the doctors heading up the treatment no one could agree on what to do so they have decided to give me treatment on Thursday if I feel better which I am sure I will because I am starting to feel better mentally and physically already. It's like a fog is lifting. It's such a relief to know that most of it seems to be the treatment and not progression of disease. I sure hope this treatment is working. On the positive side, I needed this break for my sanity. I just hope this ,at the very least, slows things down in those devil cells. I keep hearing that this drug works well for making your cells more sensitive to other therapies. Like for cancers that were previously resistant to chemo therapy. After all this, it better work. In the mean time, I am going to rest up and enjoy the break. I'm going to drug myself with morphine and try not to think about could haves and what if's.

Enjoy the break...you deserve it. Here's hoping that it gives you time to recoup and able to begin the fight once more.

Best wishes always to you Eric.

I'm glad you are getting a couple extra days
I'm glad you are getting a couple extra days off. As you noticed, the fog is lifting a little and you are feeling better physically and emotionally. YEAH! I hope you are recharged before having to do it again. And after the next one you'll be more than half-way through it! Hang in there. Sending positive vibes your way.

    A break is good
    Hey, Eric.

I hope you really can relax and enjoy a couple of days off and then be very strong to face treatment again on Thursday. Praying this will work wonders!

    Great 'tude!
    Eric,

Your attitude is great! I hope you really enjoy the extra days off. I know what you mean about figurin out if is the chemo or cancer progression. A couple of times when my treatment has been delayed + I have been feeling extr fatigued, the extra time has helped me to see it is the chemo rather than progression. It helps me in the fight. Wishing you better health.

    Eric,

A break may be just the ticket. I hope you can recharge the batteries so to speak. Best of luck with the treatment working as hoped.
