Hi
I have just been told that I have several small nodules that require further treatment - too small for surgery - and my oncologist has given me information about a trial with Carbo/taxane with weekly farletuzumab (MORab). I would like to know if anyone else on this board has heard/had this treatment. My CA125 is within the normal range and this was only picked up as I felt an enlarged lymph node in my groin. Had a CT scan which only showed lymph nodes enlarged but had PET scan on Friday which has picked up several small areas pf concern.
Any help/advice would be appreciated
Thanks Jenny

This is one of three trials I am looking into if my current regimen fails me. I have an appointment to speak with my doctor this Friday. I haven't heard anything about it. I am hoping to get some information this week. Here is a list of trials at Memorial Sloan and there is some information on each:
    http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/2270.cfm?TAB=All&SORTBY=LayTitle&ORDER=ASC&SelectedDisease=Ovarian+Cancer&x=5&y=8

What have you heard about the trial? Have you been on avastin yet? I want to ask my doctor what is my best option avastin with a new chemo or one of these trials.

    Hi Nancy
    I have only had

    Hi Nancy
I have only had carbo/taxol and finished March 2009. I have the paperwork regarding the trial but I don't think I will participate. Firstly it mentions ladies with advanced ovarian cancer - I have PPC and I like to think it is NOT advanced. Secondly you have to attend every week which might be a bit difficult for me. There is a 30day screening period and then 12-17 months of treatment. It is in combination with Carbo/(Taxol or docetaxel.)
I will see my oncologist on Thursday to see what other options I have.
Is your appointment in NYC? Only I am arriving on Friday evening for a couple of days before heading off to Massachusetts for a couple of weeks (to enjoy the sunshine!)
I haven't heard of anyone else on this trial as yet.
    Regards Jenny
