Now don’t that just knock your hat in the creek
One of the best old sayings I ever heard was “Now don’t that just knock your hat in the creek!!!”
Damn. Hang in there my friend. The PET should show if and where the problem be. Think of it as just another damn speed bump in the cancer journey. You can handle it.

I'm in exactly the same
I'm in exactly the same place! PET on Thursday at Stanford after 6 months of rising CEA from below 1 to 6.2 Onc's must take classes in what o say because he told me just relax and not worry. and then he gave me the number for NUCLEAR MEDICINE.....like there is not a disconnect there...
Best to you

Wow
Sounds like you have a great doctor though. Glad you are going to do a PET scan. Just wondering why you have not had a scan in over two years though. Mine are set up for every six months for 3 years and then once a year maybe. Hoping that nothing is happening though and all will be fine. Got lots of fine people here praying for you, including myself daily.

Sending you my best wishes Buzz. Maybe you can go do some fishing this weekend to get your mind off of things?

Hi Buzz,
Sorry to hear about the rising CEA (I was in a similar situation about 2 months ago). Sounds like everything is proceeding as it should -- PET scan scheduled -- gathering moe information -- we don't know anything for sure yet....
But LOL is right -- I DID laugh when I read about your doc telling you to relax and not worry. Right! Like that's easy! Even though that is correct, I sometimes feel like slapping people when they say that (no no no, Tara -- deep breath, positive thoughts).
I'm scheduled for a PET in 2 weeks to see how my new chemo is going. PET scheduled for a Monday, and I was not scheduled to see doc to get the results till Friday. I told him that was too long, unless he was planning to hook me up on IV tranquilizers for the five days. So he'll call me as soon as he gets the results!
Wishing for the best possible news for you.
