Dating

This question is more for survivors around 20-25.
As I hit the years of dating I find it hard to connect with someone. I always struggle between telling them about my past or just waiting and seeing if it will eventually come up.
This is not something we talk openly about in my family, its more of a "past memory" that we only talk about if we have to, and because of that I find it extremely diffiult to open up to others about what I've been through.
I would love to hear from people and the different approaches they have / would take.
If you want to email me mine is Marieell15@yahoo.com.
