Cervical issues?

My cousin went a week ago for her first Gyno visit--she will be 20 in August. Abnormal pap smear came back and they took biopsies, and then it came as cervical dysplasia---but he says there is a growth inside and outside of her cervix. They want a consultation with her and then are planning on surgery. Anyone have any advice, etc.? Can abnormal growth happen inside and out and still be dysplasia? Please enlighten if you can?

    I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer for that. Does she have any idea what the surgery involves? Could it be for a cone biopsy (that is considered a surgical procedure). Keep us posted as it would be interesting to find out the answer. I wish her luck with her upcoming consult. Waiting is the hardest part!
