MY BFF PEGGY IS IN THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW. SHE WAS ADMITTED WITH CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE ON SUNDAY. ON TUESDAY THEY WERE GOING TO DO OPEN HEART SURGERY. SHE HAD HODGKIN'S DISEASE WHILE WE WERE IN HIGH SCHOOL, SHE IS NOW 56 YEARS OLD. THEY HAD TO CANCEL THE SURGERY BECAUSE RIGHT B4 THEY DID A CAT SCAN AND FOUND CALCIFICATION. IF THEY WOULD HAVE DONE THE SURGERY THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A 60%+ CHANCE OF MAJOR STROKE. NOW SHE SITS WITH HER WONDERFUL HUSBAND IN THE HOSPITAL WHILE THE DRS FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. I AM SO WORRIED. WHAT CAN THEY DO NOW? HER SURGEON IS CONSULTING WITH OTHER DRS IN THE FIELD TO SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE IN THIS HIGH RISK CASE. SHE HAS TO HAVE SURGERY AND WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE OUT OF STATE. SHE LIVES IN WISCONSIN. THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN SUPPLY. BFF SINCE 1968, JANIE
