It will be two weeks tomorrow since my surgery and I had a couple of questions that I know only you all can help with.

1. Are you on hormone replacement therapy? My doctor said that cancers have estrogen receptors so there is a slight risk when on some form of hormone replacement.

2. I had a radical hysterectomy and thus had a portion of my cervix cut. This is a sensitive question- Does this affect you sexually?

Thank you.

    Hi -

Do not ever take HRT--no matter what. Hormone replacements caused my uterine cancer.

As for sex - yes, surgery affects the comfort level. For me, I healed nicely but still have some discomfort. The doctors says there is no reason for the pain on intercourse, but it's still there.
