    Thanks for posting. I
Thanks for posting. I forwarded it on to my father who was treated at Loma Linda back in 1997 with the Proton. I talked to him this morning and he said Loma Linda used to send him cards to fill out about 2 or 3 times a year asking about his progress till he hit the 10 year mark of being prostate cancer free.

I just wanted to post a really big THANK YOU!!!!!!!!to Trew and Lew for encouraging us to look into proton therapy. My husband was upgraded to a Gleason 7 at the UFL center, and received proton treatments, completed at the end of July....He has had no incontinence, no sexual issues, only a little fatigue, and we are doing well!!!! The people there were great, and the other patients, friends for life. We saw so many people with second line treatment after surgery, and realized how lucky we are... The two of you really impacted our investigations and I cannot think of a way to express our gratitude....God Bless you both!!! Ralphie's wife

    Proton Therapy
Its great hearing both you and Hubby had a good experience at UFL Center. What you report is also what I heard from others who qualified for just the proton treatment at Loma Linda- little to no side effects. And they also have a great fellowship that goes on and on. I know men who had proton treatment years ago and they are so happy they were able to avoid the risks of surgery. I just wish I could have made it out to LLU earlier and escaped surgery myself.

Again, great to hear of the positive results so far. I hope you can keep posting and sharing about the non-surgery option with little to no side efffects: Proton Therapy!!

    Thank you for the kind
Thank you for the kind words. It is interesting that I always thought that when prostate cancer would strike me that I would have proton since My dad did so well with it. Well When I found out last year about mine and talking to Loma Linda I found out that my insurance would not cover Proton. So I had the Davinci Surgery. I feel very blessed since I had a good result with Davinci. 99.9% dry from day cath came out and erections returned quickly using Levitra. My only down side is the positive margin but I know where I stand and with frequent monitoring if the PSA Starts to rise the doct says we can wipe it out with some follow up radiation. Aug. 15th will be one year cancer free for me.

I'm glad that you were able to have a good experience with Proton.
