Please call your doctor
I don't think this is anything to mess around with. It might turn out to be nothing, but you should call your doctor immediately.0 -
Call your doctor
Foods or drinks can make stool look like blood, but if you say you haven't had anything red, then you should call your doctor or go to emergency. If the bag, as you say, was full of blood, you don't need that much blood loss. It could be nothing, but it would be better to find out for sure. Don't wait until Monday. Keep us informed.

Donna,
I agree with everybody else go see somebody,NOW. It could be nothing, but those bags can hold a fair amount. I know if it were me I wouldn't wait until Monday. I ignored all my symtoms for years, because I was afraid it would be bad, well it was I had cancer, obviously. I will be praying for you on this one.

That's strange
I'd call the doc and see what's up. They my wont to do some labs to see what's going on and how much you're bleeding. One thing I've learnd about blood. A little LOOKS like a lot.
Keep us posted.

Sorry to alarm you guys but it turned out to just be a couple cuts on my on my stoma because the hole was cut too small.! I opened up the bag, and there was this huge clot on the side, and I took it out with toilet paper, and could see the opening with the clot all bloody, it got better as soon as I started cleaning around it, and got a nice new bag on it
Thanks for all listeninig!

WooHooo
Yup that can be the culprit. Stomas are very sensitive to touch, washcloths, small or jagged openings on appliances. So glad that you found the problem. Any site of blood in a bag can make the whole bag look like a bag of blood. Yipeee for you that it is nothing more than that. Was praying and thinking about you since your original post.

Whew!
Whew! By the time I read this, you already had found out what the cause was, and I'm so glad it turned out not to be so dire. My mind was racing while I was reading your first post! You might remember that my cancer was discovered when I went to the bathroom and produced a toilet full of blood. So I was very concerned about you!!
Glad it turned out the way it did. Take care of yourself, sweet lady!
