Well, in about an hour I go to the hospital and get checked in. I'm having a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. The insurance gave in at the last minute!!!!! my surgeon is a fighter. Just as I was going in to get the radioactive dye injected for the sentinel nodes last evening, my cell phone rang and it was my surgeon saying that the insurance finally saw the light. Talk about leaving me in suspense. But now onward and upward. I wonder how our Heatherbelle is doing? Well, I'm ready to get this done. Hope to be back on line in a couple of days. Wish me luck!

Bakerette .. I am so very sorry that you had to fightlaurissa said:Hey bakerette
Have a quick recovery. Good luck.
with your insurance company to get this very important surgery approved .. COME ON .. where are the Government WATCH DOGS. I am so sick of insurance companies and the hassles we go thru to fight breast cancer ... I understand the expense involved with cancer .. it goes on and on .. like chemo treatments, surgeries, mri, scans, doctor visits .. I understand .. there just has to be a better way..
