I figured out NEDS.

What's the chance of compiling a guide of these things to help some of us that are less savvy?

    I'll take "Mastectomy" for $200, Alex
    It took me awhile to finally figure out

    BLM - bilateral mastectomy

    For some reason, I never thought about the fact that TRAM and DIEP are acronyms -- so I just looked them up on the ACS site:

    TRAM - Transverse Rectus Abdominis Muscle flap reconstruction
    DIEP - Deep Inferior Epigastric Artery Perforator flap reconstruction

    Oh, and Heidi - "mets" is just short for metastasis.

    Do I get to move on to the bonus round now?

    Traci .. Yes .. you get to move to the bonus round, you
    and Hubby (donna's man) ..I will fill in for Alex, as I am tired from Pre-OP testing, and doctor's visit - plus the 1 and 1/2 hour drive home .. so nothing is making sense to me right about now.

    around home I refer to these:

    bbc - before breast cancer

    abc - after breast cancer

    Do you ever find yourself looking back at events in your life and thinking "that was before I was dx" or "that was after I was dx"?

    Really - it is quite a "turning point" in our lives, isn't it?
