One night in for tests

I haven't been feeling too good. Mostly dizzzy- thought, with good cause, that it was this new med I am on for depression. I had just started a new one, was only at the lowest dose. I also can't tolerate the heat like I used to- just going from the house to my car and I am whipped; dizzy and sweat running down my body. ICK
So Friday morning I am coming home at 7:30 from taking my son to work. On a major highway here in Mpls- going 60mph- and with absolutely no warning whatsoever, I fainted. Or blacked out. I did manage to get to the side of the road and called 911. Got an ambulance ride to my local hospital. Many tests were done- all negative- the ER doc immediately thought it was inner ear issues, but had to rule out everything else. They admitted me for the night to keep me on heart monitor and to do blood sugars. Everything was fine. In the meantime my oncologist gets wind that I have been admitted and stopped by. He ordered an MRi with contrast of my head- purely precautionary he said as colon cancer does not go to the brain. It was negative.
So now I am home, on anti-dizzy pills and totally off of other meds. Better- can finally turn my head to the left without going into a major spin.
Hopeful to put this behind me quickly and move on into the summer!

Wow
Pattee, I'm so glad you're okay! Glad it's nothing to do with cancer!
My daddy (83 in Dec) has had Meniere's Disease since he was very young. I think I have it and two of our sons, also. The slightest congestion causes horrific vertigo. Lay on the floor and don't move til it stops, vertigo. I've found that generic Sudaphed will open up my ears and sinuses and keeps it from being so bad. My father takes a Compazine type pill.
I seem only to be allergic to grass pollen. This time of year is bad for me and the boys. I sure hope you can get this under control so nothing that scary happens again! YIKES!!
