Sundance Surgery Rescheduled - Now July 15th - What a Mess
So, we’re now rescheduled for next week on the 15th. I’ll be getting the CT guided wire inserted for the surgery and then surgery to follow. I have pre-op and a full CT scan on the 14th.
Due to me reporting my pain issues to them and requesting meds, they are now concerned that there could be something else going on, and thus the pelvic-abdomen-chest CT, to check for any new masses.
It’s getting harder to function as the pain increases and I get shorter of breath. I hope we have not waited too late. I received this news and have been working with the PA to get all of this straightened out and get some confirmation of dates, times, and locations, of where I’m supposed to do the procedures they have ordered.
I had to leave work today to come home as I’m having a harder time now, just trying to function. I did not want anyone to worry about me, thinking I was in surgery tomorrow – so I wanted to let you know what was going on, as I just found out myself.
I’m hoping that I can hold out for a few more days and then get this handled. I want to thank everyone for responding to my “last post” and I appreciate all of your well wishes.
This is the shortest post you’ll ever see from me – pain has a way of doing that to me, LOL:)
Take care Everybody!

Oh Craig,
what a disappointment! You mean to tell me that no one knew that they would all be at a conference when they scheduled your surgery? I feel for you, I know how hard it is to psych yourself up for surgery and to have this happens is awful!! I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Who is (or I should say who is NOT) doing this scheduling? They didn't know there was a conference? They didn't know they need them for the surgery that they also scheduled? So stinkin sorry, Craig, I have no patience for these screw ups. Sure hope that your pain subsides, but I know you will be brave with it. They just need to get on with it. Come on, docs-let's be there for our man, Craig! Thank you.

So sorry for the delay
I hope the docs can get you some pain relief so that you are not dealing with that for the next week.
I can only hope that something that comes out of the conference, which caused the rescheduling, will be just the thing they need to know next week for your procedure.
Take care Craig. Wishing and praying for only the best for you.

God Bless you, Craig. You have been through so much. I am so sorry that your surgery has been postponed and that you are in so much discomfort. I will keep you in my Prayers as I do with everyone on this site. Take care. Margaret
We are relatively new to this board and have been following your posts for awhile. So sorry to hear that you are being made to wait, and in pain no less, because of a conference! how could they have not known about this when they scheduled your surgery! Guess there is no use crying over spilled milk at this point. Best of luck and stay strong!

So very sorry
Oh, my gosh! Craig, my dear friend, I HATE this for you. It's so unfair! You are so brave facing this sort of thing, and it just doesn't seem right for you to have to wait, especially since you're in so much pain.
I pray that you will be okay during this waiting period. Hopefully you will have a miracle that will relieve you of the pain.
I've been thinking of you all day, expecting you to be getting ready for your big day tomorrow. I'll just have to pray harder for you now!
*hugs*

I was thinking about you today, that you were scheduled for surgery tomorrow the 8th. I'm so sorry to hear that it's been delayed.
I sure do hope you start feeling better soon and will be holding you in the Light for a safe and successful surgery come the 15th.
Hang in there.

Hi Craig,
Oh, man, oh man! Well, I do like what Lizzy said- that maybe it is actually for a reason and that it will turn out better that way. I am so sorry you have to wait, though, and really, really sorry for all the pain you are experiencing. I am praying now that you get pain relief soon.
Take care, my friend-

Hi Craig,
I had to have my surgery rescheduled because of an error and it turned out to be for the best. It may seem like a delay now but it could turn out to be better in the long run.
Hang in there! We are hanging with you!!

Aww.....dang it Craig! You were in my prayers last night! I was going to say the EXACT same thing as Lizzy. The good old "everything happens for a reason" statement.....so hopefully that is the case. I am sorry though in the meantime, you are having issues with pain. Not off my prayer list yet!!!!0 -

Craig,
Sorry to hear about the scheduling snafu. I guess that's why they call it practicing medicine. I can relate to the pain thing, so sorry you are going through that, hang tough.
I'm sure it will all work out for the best.

Oh, Craig, so sorry
I am so disappointed for you, Craig. And Kim must be devastated, too. David and I know exactly how you feel. Three times his liver resection was postponed and it is such a letdown. But what I hate the most is your pain and shortness of breath. I am really confident when you finally get the surgery next week, it will be in time and everything will work out just fine.
I will keep you in my prayers for relief from pain and better breathing and a very successful surgery. You and that DaVinci fellow are going to be really famous!
Take good care of yourself! And update us when you can.
Hugs and Healing,
Priscilla0
