Recently Claudia mentioned that we should at least drink green tea. I thought, wow, I can surely do that every day!
I just wanted to invite everyone to mix up this nightly cocktail. I only wish I had started it 6 months ago! Another reminder. My onc. advised that large amounts of green tea can interfere with chemo treatment.
2 cups water
1 green tea bag
1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger
1/2 teaspoon powdered turmeric
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1. Bring water to a boil, then add powdered herbs. Simmer for 10 minutes.
2. Strain tea into a mug, add maple syrup and lemon, stirring to combine. Drink warm.
Makes 1 serving.
I also read where some ground pepper increases the adsorption of the tumeric so I'm also adding a twist of pepper from the grinder to the drink.
Cheers everybody!
