It has been a sad day

It has been a very sad day for me. Late last night I lost a niece to the monster that is cancer. I am fighting the battle and surviving but at her young (36) age she could not. She has left behind an 8 year old son who will now be raised by his grandmother and aunt. Our whole family is coming together on Saturday - we are spread across the country, but are still close - so that we can support each other.

Sorry I am posting this sadness but I know everyone here is understanding.

    Ladyg no need to be sorry to post your new's it is part of your walk and we most certainly understand. I lost my sister while in treatment and it was quite difficult. I will be keeping you, your niece's son and your family in my prayers.

    This is very sad news
    This is very sad news indeed. I hate this disease and the families that are torn apart and forever changed because of it. My deepest sympathy to you and your family, especially her innocent 8 year old son left behind. I am hoping that the reunion of your family helps if just a little bit to ease some of the pain.     My thoughts & prayers are with you. I lost my sister to cancer several years ago - she had 5 kids - two preschool - I know how unreal it is . . . you're right - we understand . . . you're not alone in this. Sending hugs . . .
