OPEN UP THE CHAMPAGNE!!!!!!
WOO-HOO!!!! When I called in for my psa result the nurse stated .1 and I even asked her twice and she stated .1
When I talked to the Doc this morning I told him I was worried about my PSA and he said that the test result was recorded as < .1 which means 0 But the lady on the phone did not state less then!!!
He told me that is why he doesn't like his staff giving out the numbers over the phone.
I told him that next time I will wait to get the words from his mouth!!!
Thanks all for your thoughts, prayers, words of kindness.
My next check up will be the end of October which will be 15 months post surgery.
Larry (STILL IN THE ZERO CLUB)!!!!!!!

Some roller coaster ride this is.So glad all is going so well for you.Best wishes to you and your family. jacqui
A roller coaster ride it is! I hate the suspense and the waiting for test results. Then for someone to not read the (LESS THAN) .1 when they tell me over the phone. ARGH,,,but I count my blessings and pray for all the others on this forum. This beast is a BEAST and I hope that some day in the future there will be a true cure found that does not involve surgery, radiation, pumps, pills, pads, injections, hormones, self cath's and all the other things we never used to think about!
In the meantime, I read, educate myself (I learned lots about radiation this past week) and help all my prostate cancer 'brothers' and families the best I can.

FANTASTIC NEWS
Larry, I am so glad to hear your good news, PRAISE GOD! I've been praying for you.
Man what a roller coaster ride! Here's hoping you keep your standing in the ZERO CLUB.
You know it's really bad that the nurse made such a stupid mistake, of course she may have had a bad day. I've always heard "don't judge somebody until you until you walk in their shoes".

wonderful
about 10 months ago, I had a similar think happen to me...........you would think that the f*****g personnel at the hospital would get it right....... every mistake that they make is magnified...............Ira0 -
Just got back
Larry,
I was away at a place with very limited Internet Access for a week(it was awesome). I just read this and your other thread. I am sorry that you had to go through that anxiety, but very happy to hear the ultimate outcome. Keep those zeroes coming!

I'm just thrilled that I'm still in the 0 club!!! Mistakes happen but wish that the nurse or whomever it was I talked to would have been more careful! I bet the Doc talked to the person and said watch those < then signs!

I would be talking to the nurse and Dr. to educate whoever is responsible for calling out test results to patients...in this case Larry it's a beautiful thing!!!! but in my mind...TOTALLY UNACEPTABLE that it happened. The mental anguish and stress caused on you so friken UNNECCESSARY!!!

Excellent
Sometimes the 'nurses' in offices are not 'nurses' at all, and don't have a clue about the info they are giving out.
I'm so sorry that you were put thru this terrible experience.
Rejoicing, though, that you are still a ZERO!! YEAH!0 -
