HI everyone, I got some great news today from my doctor. I got results from my CA125 and it had gone down another 40 points. Not only am I rejoicing, but relieved that I am doing the right thing by taking a short chemo break. It feels so good to get good news for a change!
The CA125 has consistently gone down since adding in the carbo to the doxil the last 4 months. So, my doctor thinks it has continued to work on me. He wants to keep using it and add in the dose dense taxol in the fall. I have seen so many of you do so well on the dose dense taxol, and I have not had the taxol in 3 years, so seems like a good idea to me too.
Meanwhile, our whole family of 5, is going back to the States for a summer vaca. My son starts college, and my younger kids have not been back for 5 years. I will celebrate 3 years since my dx on the 26th. Life is very good today.

doing the Lupronnancy591 said:great news
So the Lupron is on hold? You will resume your treatment in the fall?
I hope you enjoy your summer vacation. Where do you stay in the states?
GREAT NEWS!!!!
I am doing the Lupron, as I don't want to be out of treatment if there is existing disease. This result is from a blood test taken before starting Lupron, so too soon to tell if the Lurpon is having any effect.
We are from Seattle and stay with Mark's mom. She gives us the whole second floor,it is perfect for us. SHe lives on a golf course, and the kids go out and find balls when they get bored. We also spend a lot of time with my parents an hour away, and both families are really close and like one big family. We are so blessed everyone gets along and they live so close. My brother has a cabin up at a lake too, so between all that, we will be busy enough. I just hope we can get some sunshine. -

So wonderful to hear your
So wonderful to hear your good news! That's great to have a summer vacation with your whole family after your positive response to treatment.
I used to live in the PNW and Seattle was my favorite go-to place. I'll be passing thru on the way to family reunion on Vancouver island in Aug. Enjoy! Annie -
