I love this saying "YOU NEVER KNOW HOW STRONG YOU ARE UNTIL BEING STRONG IS THE ONLY CHOICE YOU HAVE"
I wondered if anyone had any they liked???
I truly hung on with dear life to "Cancer sucks" cuz it does.

I saw this in a catalog once, "A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water." I believe women are stronger than they know. We have long been labeled the weaker sex but we know the truth. I guess that's why only women can get ovarian cancer.

    so true!
If 3yrs ago someone would have told me I was going to be diagnosed with stage 4 ovca I would have imagined myself curled up in a ball, unable to live.

People are amamzed with my strength and attitude. I think they are so silly when they say such things. I think, what choice do I have??? Do I want this cross to bear? What choice do I have?

    Peace, Love, Cure
I bought a tee shirt a while back from a website that was Black and Teal (naturally) and had a butterfly design. It says "Peace, Love, Cure" Support Ovarian Cancer Awareness.

    Amen
Cancer is not for sissys. I have always been strong and athletic never dreaming I could be struck down. Fighting it and climbing back up out of the pit after cancer is not for the weak of heart either. I love the T shirt! I want one! The saying itself is so soothing Peace, Love, Cure. Amen.

One of my favorites: LIFE MAY NOT BE THE PARTY YOU ASKED FOR BUT WHILE YOU ARE HERE YOU MIGHT AS WELL DANCE.
I also agree that when people say to me, wow you are so strong. All I can think is I just don't have a choice. Not a club I really wanted to be a part of but I do love all the members and pray for them everyday.

I just love all of your sayings
I just love all of your sayings you have posted here. One of mine goes something like this: NOTHING IS AS SCARY AS FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN - FACE UP TO YOUR FEARS AND IT WILL MAKE YOU STRONGER. Once you know what you are dealing with it is less frightening.

My friends refer to me as "up beat" most of the time and the fact that I have made "it easy" for people to be around me. Well I never deliberately set to do that, but I have always tried to be honest about my illness and have never tried to hide away from it. I often make jokes and if I say or do something funny or daft I will say "Oh thats because I'm on tablets" or "Chemo brain again" and it lightens the mood and helps people to be able to mention my illness. I have found many people curious and too afraid to askme questions, so if I suspect this I will always make the first move.

I am a person who believes that things happen for a reason & since my mum died I feel she is looking after me. I don't think I am afraid of dying (as you do face that stark fact when you have cancer) but know I don't want to leave my children without a mum. Also I have reached a stage in my life where I need a new direction (I knew this before cancer) and it is such a bl********* shame I have cancer because I may not be able to do what I had planned.

Oh well there is my bit of philosophy for the day :)

    Another saying
I just ran across this quote.

Here is a test to find whether your mission on earth is finished: If you're alive it isn't.

    It seems to fit us.

    I find alot of hope
I find alot of hope in these. I love to think that I have a mission here. I don't ever want to go but if I do go I hope I have done something good. None of us are 100% sure we will be here tomorrow.

    The only way
The only way that I can even make it through a day is knowing that we will all be hanging out in heaven and the word cancer will never ever be uttered from anyone's lips. I pray for all of you who have children you are raising especially.. I admire your bravery and tenacity. I have children but they are grown and I have 10 grandchildren many of whom are girls. I pray they will be OK. Thanks for sharing.

    Dream
    Tina,

My mom died when I was 20 (suicide, not cancer) and last week I dreamed about her. We were looking at old pictures together and there were weird bumps on my hand. She asked me about them and I rubbed them off and said, "I was sick, but I'm better now."

I'm hoping it was prophetic! ;)

    Dream about mum
    Leesa

I dream about my mum regularly. She died of cancer and in the dream she is back and looks like she did before she got ill. I always say to her "Wow you look well" and she then tells me that "I've been away and it's Ok they found a cure". So in my dream she has been ill or has even died (and come back to life) but she is always better & cured and well.

I am sorry to hear you lost your mum to suicide, that must have been very hard for you.
