Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I've posted on here, but I've tried to read a few posts almost every day.
First of all I want to give my sincerest condolences to Lyle's loyal and loving wife. My thoughts and prayers are with you daily.
I also think of, and pray for all on here who are enduring this seemless never ending battle. You all have been such a huge force in my life, such empowering support and information. I have managed to make a couple of friends here whom I bet we will always have a special bond due to circumstances beyond our control.
My son completed his radiation today and we're about to schedule another round of chemo. He remains calm, God centered ( wish I could), and just does the best he can with the cards he's been dealt. He's using the night time feeding method, seems to work alot better for him. The past few days he's been really sick, alot of vomiting and getting dizzy, I think it's due to the more potent radiation towards the end of the treatment. We spent the day yesterday in the ER, he had severe pain the the G-tube area, after a CAT scan it looked ok inside and out, but they did notice the stomach walls beginning to thin out, thinking the tumors in his stomach are getting smaller. We can't do the PET scan until late July or early August, so we're getting really anxious.
I'll try to get better with this posting thing, I get so busy sometimes and forget to do it, but I never forget you guys!!!

So good to hear from You
Martha,
It is so good to hear from you!!! You have been in my thoughts and prayers over the last few weeks and I was wondering how both you and Mike were doing. I am glad to hear he has begun a treatment plan. I am sorry to hear there have been some challenges as the treatment plan has proceeded. It seems we all have our specific issues as we work our way through radiation, or surgery, or chemotherapy.
In any case it is great to hear that Mike is moving forward. I will be praying that things improve as the treatment plan improves and there is positive news when the scans are completed later this summer.
Best Regards,

Martha,
Great to hear from
Martha,
Great to hear from you. I was under the misunderstanding that the chemo was going to be the worst for my dad --- but it was the radiation that really knocked him for a loop and the fact that toward the end his esophagous was so sore he couldn't eat or drink. I was happy to see Mike has an alternative way to eat so he won't get dehydrated. keep the faith --- everyone here is praying for you guys and sending good thoughts you way.
Take care and here is a hug for you and Mike,

Hi Martha and Mike
So nice
Hi Martha and Mike
So nice to hear your recent update! God bless you, Mike, and your family at this difficult time! Stay God centered, it will prove to be positive! Glad to hear Mike is nearing the end of his treatments. It is harder towards the end. I agree, keep in hydrated, and take the anti nausea pills round the clock. Tell your husband to have a Happy Father's Day! Stay in touch when you can.
