    I agree
I agree hilde. It is nice to talk to people who really understand this journey and its challenges. I feel so blessed I was diagnosed in 2009 instead of ten or twenty years ago. They have come a long way to keep us a bay.

I also agree with both of
I also agree with both of you. It is so good to have this site to go to and be able to draw on so much experience and kindness. And yes we are very fortunate to be receiving treatment in this day and age. Being 9 weeks out from my Zevalin treatment I have reached that stage of wondering and worrying if everything will go as expected. I don't return for a CAT scan until August, but over the last few days find myself very alert to every quirk my body presents. I was somewhat aware this would happen but thought I would not fall victim to it. LOL I guess it's all part of the process. Mary

    I know what you mean
It does in fact seem like the worrying never goes away, but with time and seeing a clean scan helps to make things easier. We'll never stop worrying completely, but gradually you'll think about it less and less.

    Take care,

    Beth

    Hi Mary
Hi Mary : It is good to know I am normal. I had the Zevalin in December. But have certain problems. And it makes you wonder. Even though my cat scans looked good. I suppose after a year of going through everything , it is hard to realize you could possibly be in remission. Did you have your Zevalin already? Just stay positive and you are in my prayers. Hilde

Yes I had the Zevalin on
Yes I had the Zevalin on April 13Th. I went back for 1 follow up appointment, just a check up. I go back August 27Th for the first CT scan. I keep feeling my neck where the only visible lump was to make sure it is still gone. I hope it doesn't become a habit so that I start doing it in public and people will think I am choking or something. Lol. And of course my imagination sometimes gets the best of me and I think it looks weird in that spot. Probably all that messing with it. Just a creepy spell for me. I'll get tired of it. Good thoughts to both of you. Mary

Hi Mary: You sound like me. Do we ever just get over this and not think about it.
I dont know. I am the very same way. The cat scan came out well and I have muscle pain in my arms and legs. So even though the scans are good I still worry about it.
Hopefully down the road I wont. I did not think too much about it when I was in remission for about one week away from 5 years. But hope you are feeling well and I will be praying for your scans in August. Nice chating with you. Hilde

    HI
I hate to be pushing the pills but effexor(lowest dose] has made me stop dwelling on the lymphoma and if and when it will come back.(at least not continually like I was) Also walking at the gym 3 or 4 times a week helps. I live in central Fla so I am NOT walking outside. It is really hot. My support group also helps me as this site really does. Prayers to all of you Joanie

    Effexor
I take it too Joannie and it does help. I take it mainly for the hotflashes, but my anxiety is much better. I do get pretty anxious once in a while and take other meds for the bad times but they have gotten manageable. I start freaking out when I think too much of relapse. :)

Sometimes you can't stop the negativity train.

BUT we're doing everything we can and we are SURVIVORS!

    Take care,

    Beth

    me too

Yes Beth , it is so hard to not think negatively when you have a pain somewhere . That is who we are now. I was telling my husband when my stomach hurt for a couple of days, BEFORE I thought, oh I have a stomachache, now my mind just goes to a darker place. We are survivors and will face the future with optimism. God is in control.
