Almost 4 weeks out for me
My last chemo was 5/17 and I also am getting sparse, baby fine sprouts coming out but nothing thick enough to cover any of my scalp yet. Also I do believe that radiation can also make your hair fall out. You may want to ask the radiologist about that. A friend of mine who had brain cancer took chemo pills for awhile and hair did not come out but when she did radiation, that is when her hair fell out but I suppose that it was because the radiation was on her head. I would ask some questions about that. I am very anxious also to have my hair back. I find myself hibernating in the house this summer while on break from working at school. I run out and do errands then run back home so I can take my scarf off and sit at home...not good for morale. I look in the mirror at my head everyday hoping I see it growing but everyday it looks the same....also not good for morale. Sister, we just have to be patient...hard as it is...it is what it is and we will get there one day. God Bless.

Hi, I was told that it will only affect hair growth on my head if they're radiating that area. I am told to be patient. But, I will ask and inquire until my head is covered! But, I hear of some people growing hair around 6 weeks after chemo, so I'll be checking! I also see new eyebrow hairs coming in! I guess the chemo is checking out...You're 10 days behind me with chemo, so we can check together!

Heck I will even post some pictures on my expressions page once I feel bold enough to uncover.

So individual
I've read everything from people growing hair in between chemo infusions to other people not getting hair until three months after the last chemo. Everyone's different and the chemos are different. My last chemo was almost three weeks ago. I'm determined to not even check yet, but that's just my way of handling it. (Actually, my real fear is that it won't come back at all or will be incredibly thin ... )0
