Does anyone know if there are outreach groups with ACS in Arizona that helps the cancer patients that is a parent with young child that cannot get around on her own. What I am asking is there such a group that helps cancer patients in this type of situation and has no family or friends close by that can get them out and do activities, fun for all of them so they can feel somewhat normal without the constant reminder of the cancer. This patient cannot drive or walk so it is frustrating for her as she was extremely active before this cancer took most of one of her legs and she cannot do much of anything with her child now. Does there not exist outreach groups for fun, not just support groups online? Thanks for any help, theres got to be something for her. Last surgery in Jan and now in PT, (no real understanding of whether she still has it or what from the docs).
