Spindle Cell Tumor

Hello all,

I am advocating for my Mother-In-Law, who was just diagnosed with a Spindle Cell Tumor in her left breast. I have tried to Google this, and have found one little article about this type of tumor in the breast, and no instances of this type of tumor in someone her age. If you would like to read my MIL's whole story, I just filled out that "My Story" section on my profile.

I am hungry for information!

I would really like to learn more about this tumor - whether it can metastasize, how fast does it grow, whether the entire breast has to be taken during resection, is it painful? Is radiation or chemotherapy recommended for someone getting on in years, and who has lost so much mobility?

I will be greatful to anyone with any experience or information about this type of tumor.
