I am hoping that all you wise members can help me with a couple of questions. I just had surgery on May 27th. I had a open partial nephrectomy. The tumor was a t1a clear cell renal cell carcinoma. I have a problem with epilepsy so I can not take pain meds. The docs did not even mention to ice. Would that not help? I have a problem at night where I feel like I am lying on a tennis ball. Have any of you felt like a tennis ball is what you are lying on? It has only popped up after I have gotten home, of course. Ice would sure help, but do not want to do something that would make things worse. Or is this something that will just go away in time. Thanks Deb

Pain 5 days after surgery is normal
You just had Surgery, not a procedure. Your being in pain and being uncomfortable is normal. You should be feeing stronger as the days and weeks go by, Everybody's recovery is a little different depending on their health, age, etc.

    Muscle spams
Thank you, I just did not know if you could ice. As they did not say to. I just had a hip revision done in March, and they did not want you to use ice. I had never heard of that. So, each place is different.
I am not having a lot of pain just muscle spams in the back. Thank you again for helping me.
