My Dad's Battle is almost over
This battle of esophageal cancer came quick and appears to be going to take him quick.
My prayers go out to everyone here and anyone who battles this nasty disease.
I will keep you all updated, thanks for all the prayers and support that I have received.

So sorry to hear the sad news about your father
Shantel,
I am sorry to hear the news about your father. My prayers will be with him and you and your family as hospice works to make his last days with us as comfortable as possible.
He is fortunate to have his loving family around him at this time.

Oh Shantel...
I am so sorry to hear this news. It is shocking how quickly this disease can take our loved ones from us. It makes me mad! Just know though, that your dad knows you guys care and will be there for him. some how we will have to band together to make a difference with EC and the havoc it wreaks.
prayers for less pain for your dad and peace/comfort for you and your family

Shantel,
I am so sorry to
Shantel,
I am so sorry to hear your news. This really is a horrible cancer. I hope you and your family are able to have special moments with your dad and have the oppotunity to be there for him. Perhaps the pain drugs are making him seem forgetful or altered - when my dad was in the hospital and my dad was receiving heavy pain meds and was confused and dazed my mom asked the nurses to try reducing my dad's meds if it didn't create pain, they did reduce the meds somewhat and his thinking became clear again and the pain was managed at a lower level of meds. Perhaps you can try that . . . see if your dad gets clearer and doesn't need quite that much pain medication.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.
Best,

God Bless You
Shantel
May god bring you and your family peace at this difficult time. Please know that you and your family have done everything possible for your dad. My dad passed in March. He also had ec with mets to the liver. His legs became weak, he could no longer walk. I know where you are right now, I have just been there. It does get easier as time goes on. It is actually a blessing when this battle is finally over. They will no longer be in pain, or be suffering. They will be in a much better place. Keep in touch. Prayers continue for you all.
